The Secret Club
The Secret Club
documentary, Norway 2003, 55 min
This warmhearted documentary tells the history of the lgbt movement in Norway. Arne Heli and Vigdis Bunkholdt were among the founding members of the countryís first gay association over 50 years ago. They tell us of the time when homosexuality was a crime, but a more open society was dreamed of. Hans Marius Tr¯seid, who chose the life of solitude also tells us his story. Tales laden with humour and sorrow and material from archives shed light to what life, friendship and love was like in times when meetings were a secret.
