Two Irish lads Byron (Brendan Mackey) and Kenny (Glenn Mulhern) have come to London to seek their fortune. To ensure a lasting supply of whiskey and a carefree life they perform specific services in the toilets of a pub frequented by gay men. Everything starts out fine and Byron believes to have found his calling, but when a regular john Jeff (Stephen Berkoff) unexpectedly kicks the bucket after a session, the boys are in serious trouble.

Not to worry though, Byron and Kenny find out about a gigantic treasure hidden in the bed of the Queen (Michael Praed), and finding it becomes an obsession with them. In this hilarious comedy director Lab Ky Mo presents us with a bunch of sub-culture representatives, one more unbelievable than the other. After putting the sexual orientation of the two friends to the test, the film reveals the type of treasure "Bread in the Bed" actually is. 9 Dead Gay Guys relies on stereotypes, that inexhaustible source of gay culture, and puts to the test our ability to laugh at ourselves.
